Old Road Primitives GIVEAWAY

I happ'ed upon another WONDERFUL Giveaway this morning, brought to you by Old Road Primitives, and who could not want to get as many entries as possible for THIS:

I personally haven't any mice, but I absolutely adore them, especially when they're as adorable and "olde time" as this... and not real!  *wink*

Seriously, though, years ago, my eldest son, then about 7 or 8 years old, bought me a most beautiful vintage cookie jar I'd fallen in love with at the thrift store.  It was rather large, obviously old(er) and it looked like a grain sack of some sort with mice (wearing various colored bloomers) here and there, chewing their way through the "burlap" to reach the cookies.  It truly was one of the best things I'd ever seen in the way of cookie jars, and I've never seen anything like it since.  It sat for weeks in the thrift store, and I worried so that someone else would snag it up before I had the opportunity to grab it (it was a bit on the pricey side for a thrift store find and I didn't want to "waste" money on things I didn't need), and needless to say every time I saw it, I was utterly bewildered that no one had yet purchased it.  Well, much to my surprise, I received that cookie jar as a Mother's Day gift, nearly 7+ years ago, tomorrow.  ♥

I'm sad to say that I no longer have my cherished cookie jar, as one evening, while the kids were doing their after dinner chores, a dish dropped and smashed into it, damaging my beloved cookie jar beyond repair.  I was crushed, but I knew it was an accident.  The kids felt horrible, and my son who had purchased it for me was probably as (if not more) disheartened as I was over the incident.  ...Oh, I hung on to it for quite a while, in hopes that it'd magically be restored someday, but eventually, I did come out of denial, and parted with it... with extreme reluctance, might I add.

So, where did all that come from!?  LOL  Well, this fabulous GIVEAWAY, of course.  Seeing that adorable lil' mouse atop the so prim decorated barn star was the inspiration behind this story.  Who knew my posting about another giveaway would bring me to such sentimental sharing time?  My apologies...  it is truly the MUSHY GUSHY part of my being.  *wink*
So, the point?  Run on over and enter this AWESOME Giveaway, and become a new follower, if you're not already!  :D

Happy Weekend, and a Most Memorable Mother's Day to All You Beautiful Mommies Out There!
